Pre-Employment Medicals

Pre-employment medical testing helps mitigate risks during the recruitment process. Tests ensure staff have the physical capacity to perform the role and reduces the risk of accidents and work-related health hazards.

Health Tick pre-employment medicals are task specific and can include a number of assessments based on risk. The assessment process focuses specifically on the tasks of the proposed role and whether the prospective employee is fit to perform the required duties. This baseline measure coupled with Health Monitoring is used to ensure employees remain healthy, providing you and them peace of mind.

Wellbeing assessments

Focusing on the health and wellbeing of your workforce is absolutely the right thing to do. It has also been shown to improve employee engagement, retention, productivity and it positively impacts customer engagement!

Exit Medical Assessments

Exit medicals are performed when an employee ceases their employment at a company. This gives documentation of the health and wellbeing of the employee at the time they leave the organisation, thus protecting the employer and giving reassurance to the employee that their health has not been negatively impacted during their employment.

Driver Medicals (including DL9)

Driver medicals help to determine any health concerns which might impact the ability to drive safely. Our standard assessment includes vision and hearing, blood pressure, grip strength, a diabetes test and a fatigue / mental health questionnaire. We can also complete the NZTA DL9 commercial drivers licence medical certificate, covering classes one to six.

Health Monitoring

Health monitoring is a legal requirement for all organisations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. It allows employers to monitor the health of their employees to ensure they are not being negatively impacted by hazards while at work. It also ensures that the company’s Health and Safety policies and controls are working efficiently.

At the completion of the service, Health Tick provides a report with key details, including: who was assessed, trends, and comparisons to normative and historical data.

ALCOHOL & DRUG TESTING

Health Tick together with The Drug Detection Agency (TDDA, is Australasia’s only fully accredited and complete solution provider for all workplace drug policy, education and testing needs. This provides the ultimate end to end solution for  work related assessments.


EYE TESTING (VISION)

Workplace vision screening helps identify and manage any issues with an employee’s vision.



LUNG FUNCTION TESTING (SPIROMETRY)

A spirometry test checks how well our lungs are working. This is particularly important if employees are working in environments that contain dust, metal fumes, chemical vapours and gases.


Health CHECKs (CVD Checks)

Health checks provide a great way for your employees to receive a cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk assessment. These checks may identify risk factors an employee has been previously unaware of. 



HEARING SCREENING (AUDIOMETRY)

Audiometry checks the hearing of prospective and current employees working in noisy environments.


Criminal & Driver history Check

Criminal/Driver History checks are a fast efficient way of checking the history of someone during the recruitment process.
